Can you believe we’re already halfway through the year?! Bloody crazy, right? If you're anything like me, you might be looking back thinking where did the time go and wait… what were my goals again?!
But don’t stress—this is your reminder that you don’t have to wait until January 1st to hit reset. Summer is the perfect time to pause, refresh, and realign with the you that you want to be. Think of it as a warm, sun-kissed check-in with yourself (preferably with an iced coffee in hand).
Here’s how to give yourself the ultimate summer reset—GVGG style:
1. Reflect Without the Pressure
Grab your journal or notes app and do a little mid-year audit. Ask yourself:
What have I loved about this year so far?
What am I proud of?
What’s no longer serving me?
What do I want to feel more of?
You don’t need to have it all figured out. This is about awareness, not perfection.
2. Romanticise Rest
Reset doesn’t always mean go-go-go. Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is slow down. Take guilt-free naps. Read in the park. Watch the sunset like it’s a ritual. Romanticise the small stuff. It is the big stuff.
3. Revisit (or Rewrite) Your Goals
Goals change, and that’s okay. Maybe the dream you had in January doesn’t vibe anymore.
Take this as your permission slip to pivot. Ask:
What do I want to actually work towards?
How do I want to feel at the end of summer?
Then, jot down 1-3 feel-good goals. Not pressure-y ones. Just soul-aligned, juicy ones.
4. Create a Summer Ritual
Choose a ritual to anchor your reset. It could be:
A morning walk with music
A weekly “me night” with face masks and journalling
Lighting a candle and setting an intention every Sunday
Little rituals = big shifts over time.
5. Check Your Energy, Not Just Your To-Do List
Ask: “Where is my energy going… and where do I want it to go?"
You deserve to put that same time and love into you that you give to everyone else. If it doesn’t feel good, it’s okay to pull back.
Remember if it doesn't help you grow, glow or flow it's a fuck no!
Your Summer Reset Affirmation
"I give myself permission to rest, realign, and step into this new season with softness and power. I’m allowed to change. I’m allowed to shine."
So go ahead, press your own reset button. Whether it’s a mindset shift, a fresh goal, or just saying no to what drains you, summer is your second new year—and this one comes with sun cream and cute sandals.
You’ve got this, gorgeous.
